Our Traditional Cumberland Sausage is sold online Vacuum packed in 1kg packs.
It is hand-made using top quality, local shoulder of pork which is coarsely minced and mixed with our special blend of herbs and spices. It contains a minimum of 85% meat and we only use natural skins, all of which results in a quality, meaty sausage, crammed full of flavour which will not shrink and is delicious whether eaten hot or cold.
Don't be fooled by cheap imitations which often appear on pub and restaurant menus up and down the country - they are usually working to a budget and want to make maximum profit. Our Traditional Cumberland Sausage is the REAL thing made in the heart of the Lake District where its origins lie.
As with our bacon we supply many guest houses in the Lake District who pride themselves in giving their guests a quality breakfast using local ingredients and many of their guests then visit our Windermere shop in order to stock up before their journey home. The phrase we hear time and time again is "we can't get sausages or bacon like this where we come from".
